Brown — Williams Glen Jonathan Brown and Melissa Barbara Wil liams announced their engage ment. Brown worked and lived in Irvine for 20 years before leaving his home in Turtle Rock in 2001 to accept a job in Washing ton, D.C. The future bride is of Res ton, Va., and earned her bach elor's degree from the George Washington Uni versity in Wash ington, D.C. She plans to com plete her mas ter's degree in information systems technology there as well. She works in the Washington, D.C., area as a computer programmer and free-lance Web developer. The groom-to-be earned his bachelor's degree in the science of economics and his master’s of busi ness degree from the University of South Carolina. He works in Washington, D.C., as vice president of after-market and customer services for Rolls-Royce. After dating for two years, Brown surprised his bride-to-be by proposing to her on one knee in front of Westminster Abbey during a trip to London. A mid-afternoon, outdoor wedding is planned for her birthday, June 6, 2004, at Breaux Winery in Pur cellville, Va. Hussey - Berge r. Eric and Dee Berge of Irvine announced the en gagement of their daughter, Erica Deanne Berge, to Ryan Thomas Hussey. He is the son of Kathy Lowell. The engage ment was offi cially an nounced April 12 at a formal dinner party at Flemmings Steak House in Newport Beach. The bride-to-be is a graduate of University High School and graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s de gree in legal studies from Chapman Uni versity in Orange. She also earned a degree in merchandise marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 1997. She is a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity. She owns and runs the women's apparel boutique called Erica Dee in Corona del Mar. The future groom is a graduate of Corona del Mar High School and graduated in 2002 with a bache lor's degree in English from California State Uni versity, Long Beach. The wedding is planned for Nov. 8 at the Laguna Presbyterian Church in Laguna Beach and a recep tion is planned at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The couple plans to live in Corona del Mar.
