Her brother, Rev. Ernest Caltvedt and the father of the groom, Dr. Orvis Hanson, assisted Rev. OrrisHaraldson in performing the double ring ceremony amidst the sprays of rainbow gladiola and candelabra.The parents of the couple are Mrs. Bernice Caltvedt and thelate Martin Caltvedt and Dr. and*Mrs. Orvis Hanson.Music for the ceremony was provided by Margaret Young-quist, organist; A1 Reuchel, vocal soloist; and Marianne Maxwell,-tcello soloist. The bride and groom sang a duet during their wedding ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Benjamin Durby, was attired in a gown of white cotton eyelet and dacron batiste accentuated with princess lines, a high collar with a sweetheart yoke, full batiste sleeves, capped at the top and cuffed with eyelet, and a. chapel length train. Her elbow length veil was attached to a crown and she wore a NorwegianSolya (breast pin). The bouquet which she carried was a cluster of multi-colored flowers and baby’s breath.In gingham gowns of blue, yellow, and pink Mrs. RichardTjernagel, Martha Werth, Sue Stelter, and Ginger Anderson attended the bride as matron-of-honor and bridesmaids respectively. they each carried a basketCaltvedt, niece of the bride and flower girl for the wedding, carried a basket of petals down the aisle. Richard Johnson, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer and wore a blue tuxedo similar to those worn by the men in the wedding party. The candles were lit prior to the ceremony by Jill Johnson and . Janelle Page.The groom was attended by his brothers, Brian Hanson, best man, Bruce Hanson, and Greg Hanson, groomsmen, and a friend, Paul Shattauer, groomsman. Bill Sutlief and Kevin Stumpe ushered the guests.The mother of the bride chose a blue dress for her daughter’s wedding and the mother of the groom was attired in a dress oflavendar.Approximately 300 guests attended the reception in the church basement which was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Helgeland and Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson. Assisting were Mrs. Randy Hanson, Sandy Void, Mardi Helstedt, Mary Michael-son, Janelle Johanson, Ann Harper, Becky Reisetter, Barb Little, Tammy Wierson, andPaulette Harper. Mrs.; BenDurby, Maria Johnson, Sue Stone, and Brian Page were in charge of the gifts.The bride is a 1970 graduate ofthe Nesco school system and received her BA in music from Luther College in 1975.The groom is a 1972 graduate of Augustana College and is presently serving as Youth Director of Christ The King Church in Bloomington, Minnesota.JThe couple is making their home at 8330 Fremont Avenue, South, Bloomington, Minnesota.
