Symons.Open House for Silver Anniversary,Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Denman chose their Silver Wedding: anniversary as an opportunity to invite a company of guests to their home on Blaine avenue for open-house to celebrate the date of their marriage, June 10, 1916. The host and hostess, with their daughter, Miss Helen Denman, received between 75 and 100 gueets Tuesday evening, thehouse being gayly decorated with garden flowers, a color scheme of pink and white being effectively used.In the dining room a large bowl of pink, and white roses was flanked on either side with double candelabra holding tapeTS of matching shades. Punch, dainty small cakes, mints and nuts were served, Mrs. Paul Hitchcock and Mrs. Albert Grieve presided at the punch bowlsMadame H. Wellington Koo, wife of the Chinese ambassador to Great Britain, arrives by ship from Lisbon. She will stay inNew York,from eight until nine o’clock, with Mrs. Raymond Denman and Mrs, John Boyd of Troy taking their places for the last hour.The couple received quantities of lovely gifts and cards as well as the many verbal expressions of congratulations and best wishes.Guests from Troy, West Milton, Conover ana Sidney were welcomed.Mrs. Ralph Stremmel, Mrs. Vern Stephan, the Misses Naomi Stephan and Lois Boyd assisted in serving,cc
