Meat's Greeted Eight Children and OthersOn Happy EventSaturday was a happy and eventful day in the long married life of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin K. Mears, of Ray ne township, who celebrated their golden wedding that day, surrounded by eight of their nine children, grand children and a company of neighbors and friends. The bride and groom of 50 years ago are well known residents of that section of the- county, and Mr, Mears, as wellas his wife, who was formerly Miss Mary Ellen Manner, are blessed with good health and retain a youthful spirit. One of the attractive features of the pleasant day spent at | the homestead was the bountiful dinner served at the noon hour. The tables, which were ladened with all the bounties, were decorated in gold and white, fn honor of the occasion. The mimes of the eight children, who | were present with their families at ■ the golden wedding celebration were ;J. Clair Mears, of town; Mrs. Fred ! Schugarts and Wilmdr Mears, of Girard, 0.; James Moar, of Cheswick; Mrs. John Campbell, of Johnstown; Charles and William Mears, of near Tanoma, and Quay Mears, residing at home.
