DAVID LIGHTY, SR., MARRIED LAST WEEKOne of Elk Township’s Oldest Settlers, Joined In Marriage At Iowa City June 6th.Our readers living down Wood way may be somewhat surprised to read of the marriage of Mr. David Lighty to Mrs. H. M. McGuire of Iowa City on Friday, June 6th, Rev. 3. E. Ellis officiatimg. They left immediately for Des Moines to attend the Iowa State Encampment of the G. A. R. On their return we understand they are to make their home in Edgewood.Mr. and Mrs. Lighty have many friends hereabouts who join with The Journal in wishing them happiness in their wedded life.
