Within a few months after she learned that her husband had another lawful wife living, Lodema Ann Shonts brought action for divorce from Andrew Jackson Shonts. Yesterday afternoon a divorce was granted., Prior to her marriage to Shonts, the plaintiff was the keeper of a boarding house at Adel. On March 1, 1911, she married Shonts at Kansas City and resided with him until March 10, 1912. At that time she discovered proof that another Mrs. Andrew Jackson Shonts had a prior claim to the much-married Shonts. Mrs. Shonts No. 2 knew that her husband had been previously married, but he had shown her a paper purporting to be a divorce.Shonts now is an inmate of the insane asylum at Independence, to which institution he was removed April l, 1912.
