Hanemaayer from Orange Ciry and George Douma, son of Mrs. 'Gossen Douma also from Orange City was solemnized at the Trinity Reformed church in Orange City Tuesday evening, June 2. at 8 p.m. Rev. N. Reck performed the double ring ceremony before an altar of baskets of. white gladlolas and candelabra.Mrs. Stanley Duven provided the nuptial music at the or gen. Miss Audrey Korvcr gave the narration, “How Do I Love Thee”- by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, with appropriate background music before the ceremony ar.d Fred Verdoorn sang the Lord’s Pray-■er” during the ceremony.The bride, giver, in marriage by her father, was gowned in imported-pure silk organza, 'flic Sculptured bodice was styled with a lavilliere neckline framed in appliques ct swiss embroidered flowers embellished with irii-descents and seed pearls. The firigeiMiss Helen Van KlompeRburg and Miss Lois Vandcr Zwaag were hostesses at a surprise miscellaneous shower on Thursday evening, June 4, honoring Miss Carole Heemstra at the Henry Van Klompenburg home.Guests Included the Misses Helen Van lis. Jackie Vander Zwaag. Pat Ballou. Phyllis Vander Brake, Mrs. Ted Heemstra and Mrs. Henry Van Klompenburg. Unable to attend were the Misses Shirley and Joan Aber-son. They were gowned in pink imported silk organza street length dresses fashioned with a rose cumberbund and floating panels. Debbie Shipp irorn LeMars was the flower girl. She wore a dress identical to the bridesmaids. All attendants carried cascade arrangements ol pink carnations.The grcom was attended hy Alvin Bomgaars from Orange City as best man. Groomsmen were Don Vander Wei from Orange City and Roger De linen of. ■ Oj ange City who also acted as ushers. All men In the wedding party wore tuxedos and had white carnation boutonnieres. The groom's boutonniere was a white gerderJa.The bride's, mother chose a powder blue dress for her daughter's wedding. The mother of the groom aUo wore powder blue. Their corsages were pink roses.A reception was held in theFirst Reformed church parlors for the 325 guests who were registered by Miss Deanna Gross-mann. The gilts were received at the door by Terry Shipp and were displayed by the Misses Lois Kroon, Arlene Harman, Lois Vander Zwaag and MurieJ Note-boom. Miss Patricia Ballou and CUff Muilenburg acted as dining room host and hoStcSs.The bridal table was centered with a threc-tlered wedding cake decorated in pink and white, which was served by Mrs.DonaldKraai. Miss Marjorie Vermeer from Royden, and Miss Arlys Bomgaars poured at the buffet style table. Punch was served by Miss Sharon Ver Steeg and Miss Mary Vander Droek.Waitresses were Patty Ver Steeg. Kay Vander Stoep, Willie Jansen, Mary Ann Cleveringa, Jean Miller.
