ENGAGEMENT OF POPULAR COUPLE ANNOUNCEDKARNES CITY, June 10—The engagement of Miss Willie Louise Lane of Karnes City to George R. Winship of Alpine, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Winship Sr., of Junction, has been announced by her aunt, Mrs. Clifton E. Dietz of Kernes City. The wedding was solemnized June 5 at the First Presbyterian church in KarnesCity.Miss Lane was graduated from the Karnes City high school and for the last three years has attended Sul Ross college in Alpine where she is majoring in music. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Theta Gamma. Gamma Delta Kappa, Student Pilots association. Women’s Sports association, the Sachem Literary society, the college chorus and the piano quartet.Winship is a senior in Sul Ross ind is majoring in animal husbandry. He is also a member of the Student Pilot’s association. The couple expect to continue their college work.
