Schlomann-BeyerNuptials June 5thI’ Miss Gert rude Schlomann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. WilliamI H. Schlomann of Arlington Heights, Illinois, became the bride of Mr.Arthur A. Beyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Beyer, Sr., of Hell-wood, Illinois, in a very pretty ceremony in St. Peter's Evangeli-* I cal Lutheran church on Saturday, j June 5, 1937, at 5 p. m. The Rev. I H, C. Fricke ofliicating.The church was beautifully decorated with palms and fresh flowers by Miss Henrietta Klehm, cousin of the bride.j At the strains of Lohengrin’s '• wedding march played by Mr. O., Kolb, Mr. Schlomann marched (down the aisle leading the bride, his daughter, to the altar where he gave her to the happy groom, who had as his best man George Beyer, Jr., his brother. The groom and best man wore black coats and white flannel trousers.The bride wore a lovely gown of ivory satin with a long train. Her veil of tulle was fashioned in a very becoming manner and fell in long graceful folds as she slowlycame down the aisle on the arm of her father. Her bridal bouquet consisted of white Sweet Peas and lilies of the valley. The dress andveil was made by her aunts, the M isses Dorothy and Augusta Schlo-mann. _The bride had as her attendants| Miss Ruth Bollmann of Chicago, cousin of the bride and Miss RuthSpoo of Oak Park, friend of thebride, who wore beautiful gowns of white marquisette over a green taffeta slip. The slippers were of a matching green. Their bouquets consisted of yellow snap-dragons and a small spray of yellow snapdragons was fastened in their hair. Miss Florence Rolling, cousin of the bride and Miss Leona Behm, of Berkeley, cousin of the groom wore beautiful gowns of white marquisette over a pink taffeta slip. The slippers were of a matching pink. Their bouquets consisted ol pink snap-dragons and a small spray of pink snap-dragons was fastened in their hair. Miss Ella Meyer, friend of the bride, acted as maid of honor. She w'ore a beautiful gown of white marquisette over a blue taffeta slip. The slippers of a matching hlue. Her bouquet consisted of white snap-dragons, and a small spray of white snap-dragons was fastened in her hair.The groomsmen were Carl .Schlomann, brother of the bride, Elmer Herrick, Richard Wilke and Martin Larsen, who wore black coats and white flannel trousers.Mrs. Millie Russell sang two beautiful and impressive solos. “My Shepherd” and “Oh, That the LordWould Guide My Ways.After the ceremony the bridalparty motored to Elgin where they had their pictures taken and then went to the St. Peter’s EvangelicalLutheran Parish Hall, where a delicious wedding supper was served j to 8(5 guests and also where the reception was held.iif
