Prenuptial parties will crowd the days preceding the marriage, June 16, of Miss Betty Aldine Merman to James Toy Van Dyke. Miss Alleen Blake will be Miss Herman's luncheon hostess today and has planned appointments of the bridal shades, orchid, pink and green.Miss Louise Ttrischlag will preside at a bridge tea Thursday afternoon, entertaining at her home, 3101 Jackson street, as a courtesy to Miss Herman. Peonies will center the tea table, with the orchid and green accented in the menu and other appointments.An evening of bridge Friday is planned by Miss Harriet Coffin, 2202 Jackson street, to compliment 16 friends of the bridc-eleet. The wedding colors will dominate the decorations of the table for a late supper, to conclude cards. A shower of miscellaneous gifts will be presented the bride-elect.Active members of the Sigma Fi Pel sorority will honor Miss Herman at luncheon Saturday in the Sara Davis teat.hop, where email tables, centered lu flowers of the bridal shades, wilt bear covers for 24 guests.
