Miss Thelma Beatty, a Cedar Rapids girl who has been prominent at Coe, has chosen June 17 for her wedding day. The bridegroom will be Arlic H. Krusselb a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan university this year.Miss Dyrlsnd Is one of the most popular girl a of the senior class. She was elected president o' Yoor* hees Quadrangle last fail and has been the student governor at the house of residence sine© then. She was also chosen an one of the ''representative women of Coe and her picture was printed in the Coo Acorn, Issued this spring. She Is n member of Alpha Gamma chapter. Alpha XI Delta, to which her two sisters, Mrs. Dean Hampton of Central City and Lillian Dyrland of Marlon, also belong. Her finance, Boyd Rogers of Fremont. Neb. was a famous Coe athlete fir several years being a member of the basket* ball team for several years.Mr. Rogers Is a member of the Fh! Alpha Pi fraternity and is a proprietor of a mueie shop in Fremont, where he and hie bride willmake their home, He entered the service on the outbreak of war and •was a lieutenant during most of the conflict.Miss Thelma Beatty has an enviable record, aa a student at Coe, In addition to her scholastic attainments she is known a convincing ‘ debater and a brilliant news woman. Her feature stories in the Coe Cosmos, the college weekly, sparkled with originality and wit* and exhibited an excellent literary stylo, , She is popular with the students, having been elected to fill the role of George Washington in the annual colonial ball. The young couple will go Immediately to West QuLncy, Mass., a suburb Of Boston, where Mr. Krussell ’.a pastor of the West Quincy Methodist Episcopal church. While attending Ohio Wesleyan.
