CLERKS KIDNAP GROOM-TO-BEPete Dwyer Given Shower at Spencer Park Last Night by Trade Palace Employes.Pete Dwyer, who is to be married tills month, was taken in charge by fellow clerks and derkeBses'’ when the Seybold store closed last evening. He was bundled aboard a street car and was taken to Spencer park, where many indignities, such as fried chicken, pickles, olives, radishes and ice cream and cake were heaped upon him. He. was the recipient of a. shower, which included two rolling pins, nursing bottles, infant slippers, etc. It was a gay party, and one of the young ladles danced for the amuse-^ ment of the others. Ed Mediant! dropped a toad at her feet, and the girl leaped upon a rabie and kicked and screamed in a spasm of fright. The ^Tango exhibition was muchly enjoyed j hy tine others.
