Couple plans to wed Aug. 29, Clarence and Debbie Bowman of Kansas City, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Brenda Hicks, to Joel Van Schepen, son of Randy and Arlene Van Schepen of Hull.The bride-to-be graduated from Hickmaii-Miils High School, Kansas City, in 1994 and is employed as a proof reader for Children International in Kansas City. Joel graduated from Western Christian in 1994 and from DeVry in Kansas City ‘ in 1996.
