Vows SpokenBy CoupleAt Odebolt-LAKE VIEW — Jo Ellen Ferguson, daughter of Mr. andMrs. Charles E. Ferguson of Lake View, exchanged wedding vows with Norman Lyle Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle E. Hall of Ottumwa, at Odebolt, June 7.The single ring ceremony took place at 4 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John McGee officiating. Organist was Mrs. John Purdy of Odebolt. John Robinson of Waterloo was soloist, and the bride and groom sang ‘‘Wedding Prayer” at the altar, which was decorated with white daisy chrysanthemums.Mr. Ferguson gave his daughter in marriage. Her maid of honor was Marianne Kitterman of Arthur; bridesmaids were Mary Pat Ferguson, Lake View, and Linda Hall of Ottumwa. Men in the wedding party included Dan Donahue of Clinton,George Frampton, Des Moines,and Robert Toomer, Ottumwa. Ushers were Charles D. Ferguson, Lake View; Joe Neuberg, Cresco; Steve Peterson, Cedar Falls; and David Harness of Ottumwa.4Times Herald, Carroll, Iowa Wednesday, June 10, 1970The wedding reception for 150 guests was held in the church parlors immediately following the ceremony.For her June wedding the bride chose a gown of peau de soie, in empire styling. The bodice, overlaid with organza,had a high collar and sheer organza sleeves gathered into wide cuffs at the wrists. Rows of daisy chain lace trimmed the floor-length gown. The bride’s veil of illusion was held by a bow of peau de soie. She carried a bouquet of daisies.Sleeveless dresses of mint green taffeta were worn by Miss Kitterman and the bridesmaids. White lace defined the empire waistlines and trimmed the high collars. Each attendant carried a nosegay of daisies.Mrs. Hall graduated in May from the University of Northern Iowa. The bridegroom attended the same university and plans to resume studies in the fall.
