Camp Fuller was selected, Col, Brazee has selected the extreme right for the, Third Regiment, and the tents for that; command will be pitched there. The camp will be supplied With telephone, telegraph and electric lights. The Commissary, Captain Buchanan, is soon to advertise for bids for furnishing meats, groceries, ice, straw, hay, etc. The order has been issu 1 from the adjutant generpVs office, fixing the date of the encampment, July 14th, There are at least 5,000suidier3 intheFirst Brigade,which includes the First and Second Regiments of Chicago, Third Regiment of Rockford, Fourth Regiment of Joliet, one cavalry regiment and two regiments of cavalry. The Governor and Staff will be there one or two days, and a grand time is anticipated.COMPANY 0*8 FOURTH.The committee on the Fourth of July picnic for Company C and friends are busy, and in a day or two will know what grounds are to be selected. The man on the place recently occupied by Orin Crocker, will not allow, the boys on his place unless they pay big rent. They will not forget him. It is the intention to have target practice,and arrangements will be made for a general good time.T17E MAJOItSnJP.Lieutenant Louis Dickes, one of the most faithful and energetic officers in the Third-Regiment, is at Rockford to* day, in attendance at the election for major to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Major Starr. It is altogether probable that Quartermaster Bartlett will be chosen.
