See storyMiss Carolyn Rowland, bride-elect of Jimmy Richert, was honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower Saturday at the home of Mrs. Shirah Kilpatrick. The bride-elect parents are Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Rowland and the parents of the prospective groom are Mr. and Mrs. James Richert.4Miss Rowland was dressedin a two piece peacock-blue vested pantsuit with a coordinating blouse. She was presented a corsage of pink split carnations.The guests enjoyed ham and roast beef sandwiches, cheese and sausage balls, mints, cake, punch and coffee.Miss Jan Richert registered the gifts and Mrs.Becky Brown and Mrs. Donna Richert assisted the bride-elect in opening the gifts. Thehostess' gift to the honoree was a lovely peignoir set.After the opening of the gifts and refreshments, the guests spent an enjoyable afternoon visiting and making rice bags. The couple has selected July 9 as their wedding date. The ceremony will take place at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.■Hostesses for the shower were Diane Salnier, Becky Brown, Shirah Kilpatrick, Donna Richert and JanRichert.Out of town guests were from Livingston, Texas, Crowley, Lake Providence, Lafayette and Welsh.
