HAY BARLOWCoafes-BarlowRifesRoyse Cify ChurchThe First Methodist Church in Royse City was the setting on Friday June 4th for impressive nuptial rites which united Miss Helen Worth Coates, daughter of Mrs. Helen Pare Coates, and the late W. W. Coates and Ray Barlow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barlow of Kokoma, Indiana.The sanctuary was decorated in baskets of white gladioli, formal greenery and white cathedral tapers in branched candelabra.The Rev. W. D. Craig of Gainesville officiated at the double ring ceremony and the musical selections were presented by Miss Carolyn Sisk, organist and Miss Sue Steward, vocalist.The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Lendon Pare of Garland, was attired in a lovely frost white organdy gown fashioned with a closely fitted bodice. The portrait neckline was edged with eyelet embroidered organdy and pleated tulle and thebodice was defined with tiny capsleeves at were complimented by matching organdy gauntlets. The beautiful bouffant skirt of eyelet embroidered organdy was defined with an organdy flounce that swept into a formal train. Imported illusion fell from a tulle bonnet embroidered in pearls, in misty tiers to her finger tips. Her arm bouquet was white orchids and white satin streamers.Miss Amy Smith was maid ofhonor. She wore a pink organdyfrock with matching gloves and hat and a c lonial bouquet of pink carnations tied with pink satin streamers. ,The bridesmaids. Miss Patricia Bass, wore a green organdy frock.Miss Marianne Adams, was attired in yellow organdy and Miss Hazel Hurst in blue organdy. They had matching hats and gloves and carried colonial bouquets carnations tied with satin ribbon to match their frocks.Meff Stevens of Dallas served the groom as best man. Other masculine attendants were Rick All ’ rook, Larry Lacido, Bill Dalton and Neil Johnson of Dallas.Harry Vervalin lighted the candles. 9A reception in the educational building of the church was held immediately following the ceremony. The brides table was laid in an imported white linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of white gladioli flanked with lighted tapers in silver candelabra Punch was served from a silver punch bowl by Miss Sue Steward and Miss Carolyn Sisk presided at the three tiered wedding cake. Miss Pam Vervalin secured the names for the brides book.Bof’i Mr. and Mrs. Barlow are students at North Texas State Teachers College at Denton. They will spend the summer in Kokoma, Indiana and return for the fall semester at NTSC.When the couple left for a wedding trip, Mrs. Barlow was wearing a navy and white linen two piece it with navy and white accessories.
