Kooima, Dooyema are wedDeb Kooima and Bruce Dooyema were united in marriage in the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, on May 25 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Roger Bultman performing the ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kooima of Rock Valley, and Mr, and Mrs. Junior Dooyema of Sioux Center.Peggy Groeneweg, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carla Starken-burg, cousin of the bride, and Val Dooyema, sister-in-law of the groom.Serving as bestman was Eric Dooyema, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Kim Dooyema, brother of the groom, and Darrell Kooima, brother of the bride.The ushers/candlelighters were Brian Klarenbeek, cousin of the bride, and Rick Van Ravenswaay, cousin of the groom.The flowergirl was Lorelei Keizer, cousin of the bride, and the ringbearer was Ryan Dooyema, nephew of the groom.Serving as persona! attendant was Nancy De Waay, friend of the bride.Deb is a 1983 graduate of Western Christian High School and is presently working at Kooima Mfg. in Rock Valley.Bruce is a 1981 graduate of Unity Christian High School and is engaged in farming.The couple makes their home on an acreage southwest of Sioux Center.
