SOCIETYMiss Shoemaker Weds Terry Alien Albintyiiss Laura Elaine Shoemaker beabme the bride of Lance Corpora I Terry Allen Albin in a double ring ceremony at the Church of Christ in New Market May 26, with Loren Daly, pastor of the church, officiating.Mrs. Neil Combs provided thenuptial music and accompanied Terry Sprague, soloist.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Junior Shoemaker of New Market and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Albin, Sr. of Festus, Mo.The sanctuary was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and blue carnations. The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, chose a gown of white silk organza over taffeta. Venice lace banded the high neck. The long fitted sleeves featured flared cuffs edged with matching lace. Bands of lace extended from the yoke to the middle of the A line skirt with an attached train. A train length mantilla of silk organza with Venice lace held a shoulder length veil. Laura wore a gold cross centered with a blue fire diamond on a chain, a gift of the groom. She carried an arrangement of blue carnations and white sweetheart roses, with a detachable orchid corsage centered on a blue Bible.Teresa Shoemaker, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Sherri Myers, sister of the groom, were maid of honor and bridesmatron. They wore dresses of blue embroidered nylon, with empire waists and A line skirts, trimmed with white lace medallions They wore white nylon hats with long streamers. They carried blue woven baskets of flowers. Marcy Myers, niece of the groom, carried baskets of rose petals.The best man was Robert Albin, Jr., brother of the groom. Roger Leek served as groomsman. Ushers were Charles Young, cousin of the bride and Dennis Madison.Following the ceremony, the bridal couple lighted a candle together.Rita Young, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. The gift runners were Mrs. Jennie Horton, Kandie Campbell and Sharon Fine. Kathy Thompson was in charge of the decorations. The servers were Mrs. Christine Young, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Charles Young, sister-in-law of the groom. Mrs. Roger Long, aunt of the bride, baked the five tiered cake.A reception was held in the church parlor. The waitresses were Kim Jenkins, Apryl Campbell, Jan and Kendra Glasgow, cousins of the bride.After the reception, the couple left for 29 Palms, Calif, where Terry is stationed.The bride is a 1973 graduate of New Market Hiph School and has been very active in church and school activities.
