Wedding vows and rings were exchanged recently between Bernadette Heck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Heck and Charles Gutfriend, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Gutfriend, all of Mendham, Saskatchewan. The mid - afternoon ceremony took place in St. Anthony’ s Roman Catholic Church in Mendham. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of nylon sheer over satin, styled with a full skirt which was caught at the back waist-line with a large bow. The dress featured a rounded neck line and full-length sleeves form ing lily-points over the hands. Appliques of lace formed a floral decor on the skirt front and on the bodice, and was re peated in her shoulder length net veil. Her headpiece, in the form of a single rose, complemented her cascade bouquet of natural yel low roses, and for jewellery she wore a heart-shaped pendant, a gift of the groom. The bride’s attendants, the Misses Monica Schmidt, Diane Moser, Bernardine Jangula, and Pearl Jassman, were gowned in street length dresses of blue crystalline taffeta with white accessories. For head attire they chose rhinestone tiaras and carried bouquets of white carnations. Miss Colleen Heck served as flower girl and was dressed identically to the senior attend ants. Attending the groom were Peter Heck and Lloyd Hellman, as groomsmen, with Ken Schmaltz, and Ronald Heck pro viding ushering services. Completing the wedding party was Master Daryl Gutfriend, brother of the groom, as ring bearer. Following the ceremony a re ception for 75 guests was held in the church basement, where the toast to the bride was pro posed by Nick Heck of Glidden, Saskatchewan. For travelling on a honeymoon trip to northern points in Al berta, the bride changed to a blue boucle suit, complemented with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations Out of town guests attending the wedding were from Medicine Hat, Calgary, Edmonton, Em press, Provost, Brooks, Alta., Moose Jaw, Oxbow, Smiley, Ker robert, Frimate, Major, Rich mound, Glidden and Burstall, Sask.; and Vancouver, B.C. Mr. and Mrs. Gatfriend will make their home in Medicine Hat, MR. AND MRS. CHARLES OUTFRIEND
