On the afternoon of June a a company of friends and neighbors of C. A. Swanson, 2725 E street, assembled at their home to witness fhe marriage of their youngest daughter, Miss Hattie E. Swanson. to Mr. Charles R. Meacham of H5 South Tenth street. * The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. Piper of the United Brethern church. The wedding music was played by Miss Elida Shamp. The bride was very neatly attired in a gown of blue, prettily decorated with white chiffon, wearing a bridal veil and carrying a lovely bouquet of roses. The groom appeared in a eult of conventional black.The marriage service of the United Brethern church was used, which was very simple and impressive, after which followed congratulations, and refreshments of cake, fruit and ice cream were served. There were numerous beautiful presents, among which was a beautiful, illustrated family Bible, handsomely bound in Morocco, the gift of the bride’s father.
