Jeraldine Hiner Wed Horace SchaffnerJeraldine Hiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Hiner, and Horace Schaffner, son of Mr. and Mrs, Louis Schaffner, were united hi marriage Saturday, June 1, atMrs, Horace Schaffner7:00 p. m. The single ring ceremony was read by Rev. Hastie at his home in Albia in the presence of their parents.Ruthy Hiner, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Max Hiner, brother of the bride, was best man. Following the ceremony refreshments of ice cream and cake were served.The bride graduated from Moravia high school with the class of 1946. The groom graduated from Albia High School in 1942.TWO SHOWERS FORJERALDINE HINEROn Friday night, May 31st, Mrs. Winnie DuVall gave a shower at her home for Jeraldine Hiner.Those present- were Beatrice Johnson, Maxine Scott, Deana McDonough, Barbara and Jo Ellen Broshar, Beauneta Main, Patty Sawvel, Dweena Robinson, Letha Louise and Lilly Bell Schaffner, Fern Foster, Mrs. Edra Mae Robinson, Mrs. Mae McCrory, Mrs Daisy Schaffner, Mrs. Letha Schaffner, Mrs. Esther Hiner. Those sending gifts were Lois Hawk and Mildred Moore.Refreshemnts of fruit salad, cake and a cold drink were served.On Monday afternoon, May 27th, Jeraldine’s mother, Mrs. Esther Hiner, gave a shower for her. She received many lovely and useful gifts.Those present were Mrs. Basha Foster, Mrs. Ruth Broshar, Mrs. Roma Tomlin, Mrs. Rissie Glad-fe!4%r and, daughter,. Judy Kay, Mrs. Ava Foster and daughters, . Fern and Twyla, Mrs, Yvonne Broshar, Mrs. A. W. Kineade, Mrs. Allie Boyer and daughter, Lola, Mrs, Leann Main, Mrs, Winnie DuVall, Mrs, Letha Schaffner and daughter, Letha Louise, and Gertie Boyer.
