The marriage of the Prince de Joinville to the Princess Frapcisca was fixed to come off on the 1st of May, and preparations were in progress to celebrate the event on a suitable scale of magnificence. According to an article in ihe constitution of Brazil, the Princess is entitled to the Immediate payment of a dowry of 750 contos, equivalent to about 200,0006. at the present rate of exchange; and if the terms of the article are stricily enforced in point of time it will seriously inciease the embarrassment of the Finance Minister. We believe it was generally understood that the eldest sister of the Emperor was the choice made by the Prince de Joinville, but this it appears was an error, the Princess Francisca being the second daughter of Don Pedro. We believe, indeed, that according to a provision in the Brazilian Constitutional, the heir presumptive to the throne cannot leave the country, and as the eldest sister of the Emperor stands in that relation until we have direct issue, this circumstance, it is alleged in some of the letters, has had some influence in determining the Prince de Joinville’s choice.Frightful Accident.—Between nine and ten yesterday morning, an alarming accident occurred to Mr,
