Fox-Walker weddingheld in Joplin June 1The South Joplin Christian Church was the scene of the wedding of Miss Alice Suzanne Fox and Larry Gordon Walker on June 1.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Percy Fox, Joplin. The bridegroom is the son of Leonard Gordon Walker, 510 McQuary.James Parrish officiated at the ceremony before an altar decorated with an arrangement of yellow and white daisies and yellow candles.The bride was given in marriage by her brother. Stephen C. Fox. She wore a dress made in an Empire style. It was of taffeta flocked with yellow and green daisies. The skirt was made in eight panels. A high neckline and sheer sleeves accented the gown. She carried aLocal feature inbouquet of daisies.Cathy Hose, Joplin, was matron of honor. She wore a dress styled like the bride’s of yellow whipped cream and wore daisies in her hair.Nicholas White, Hume, Mo., was best man. Ushers were Dennis Qualls. Joplin, and Wayne Paul. Kansas City.Jennifer Walker, daughter of the groom, was flower girl.A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.The bride is a graduate of Parkwood High School and Missouri Southern State College.The bridegroom is a Neosho High School graduate and also graduated from Crowder College and Kansas Stale.
