Lewis-Ferketich Wedding 1Vows Read In Sacred Heart Church, ZeiglerMiss Phyllis Jean Lewis, daughter of Mrs. Otis Jones of Benton, and Robert Ferketieh, son of Mr. and \Jrs. Mike Ferketieh of Zeigler, were married Saturday, May• | * | 26, at 10 a. m. in the SacredFleart Catholic Church in Zeigler.■The Rey. Louis Fellner read the vows.The altar was decorated withwhite gladioli and greenery.The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John Thom-as Lewis.Miss Dorothy Markus was or ! ganist, Irene Mrogenski of Benton was bridesmaid, and Mrs.; , V irginia Lance of McLeansboro, sister of the bride, was matron of , honor.Steye Lazar of Zeigler, cousin 1 of the groom, was best man. Joe \ Lazar was groomsman, t The bride’s gown was of whit : I lace over satin with scoop neck-- line. It was worn with-lace jacket featuring three-quarter sleeves. HeT : fingertip veil of tulle was caught to a rhinestone studded juliet cap.The bouffant skirt was held wide with a can-can slip.She carried a white orchid nestl- j ed in 12 yellow' rosebuds. Cascad ing from the bridal bouquet were white streamers tied with lovers j knots. ! ^Luncheon for 50 was served in -the social room of the church after ; the ceremony. LThe bride was graduated in 1952 from Benton High School. She was employed by the General i Telephone Co. at Benton.Ferketieh is a 1950 Zeigler Com * munity High School graduate. Af ^ ter attending Southern Illinois ( University two years, he entered the U. S. Army in 1953 and was } discharged in September, 1955.He plans to attend SIU.
