June 2. was the date chosen by Miss Esther Marie Poole, Takoma Park, Md., and James Robert Cewdriek, Smltha-burg, Md., Route 2, for their marriage In the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Waynesboro, at half after seven o'clock to the evening.Elder David O. Flesgle of Baltimore. Md.. united the daughter of Mrs. Ruth E. Poole. Takoma Park, to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cowdrick, Smithsburg Route 2.Approximately 200 guests gathered in the church for the simple service performed before an altar decorated with white gladioli and chrysanthemums in baskets, and white peonies in vases.Miss Dorothy Oowdnck. Smithsburg Route 2. a sister of the bridegroom, was the organist, and Mrs. Ralph Garrett. Hagerstown, Md.. Route 1. was the soloist. Selections by Bach and Widor were played by Miss Cowdrtck, and Mrs. Garrett sang O Perfect Love by Barnby and Happy The Home” by Dykes.The bride was given in marriage by her mother. She wore a princess style white moire taffeta dress of street-length, styled with a V-neckline, cap sleeves and full skirt. Her accessories were white andshe pinned a white orchid corsage ( at her shoulder. ‘IThe bride had a former class- t mate, Margaret Pols ton ofBridgeton, N.J.. as her maid of t honor and only attendant Her aqua t nylon voile dress was embossed _ with white flowers.
