Marshall Colquitt.A special from Atlanta, Og,, of the 2nd instant, gives the fallowing Recount of abrilliant wedding at that place. Thegroom is a son of Colonel Charles A. Marshall, of Washington. The die* patch save: 11 The handsome residence of Senator A. II, Colquitt, in Edge wood, wan to-night the scene of a brilliant social event, the occasion being the marriage of the Senator's daughter, Miss Li?.2is Colquitt, to Captain William L. Marshall, of the Engineer's Corps, U. 8. A. The grounds were brilliantly illuminated, while within the mansion the scene was dazzling. Five hundred invitations ha*l been sent out, and fully fourhundred responded in person. The hallway of the mansion is flanked by two circular stairways, giving the appearance ofa horse. At 9 o'clock, to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, the couple met Ml the the foot of those stairways, corning from opposite doors. Eleven bridesmaids took position step upon step, on either stairway, twenty-two in all.From the step upon which the eleventh bridesmaid stood hung an archway of flowers, which drooped so as to form a pretty back-ground for the bridal couple, sup ported by Colquitt Carter and Captain Post. The officiating clergyman was Rev, C. A, Evans, a noted Confederate Officer, The service was that of the Protestant Episcopal Church, and was inapnmslvevty spoken. The bridesmaidswere Misses Mav Ta linage and Editb Tulmsge, daughters of the noted Brooklyn divine, Misses Sallie Brown, Hattie Fowler, Maud Wallace, Katie Carter, Jennie Fowler,, Dollie Colquitt, EttaTucker, Laura Colquitt, Jessie Culpeper,Hattie Colquitt, Mabel Hillyer, LindeMorgan, Hattie Warren, Lucy Pringle, Jennie Hammond, Ella Foreacre, Nannie Holt, Carrie Tarver, Nannie Marshall and Denda Howard. The ladies were all dressed in w hite, and carried bouquets of daisies. The bridal party left on the midnight train for Washington. Capt. Marshall is ut present stationed at Milwaukee.11
