Thorn Jr.Christine Joy Sampo became the bride of Frank A Thom Jr., In a ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Upland, attended by 150 guests.Miss Sampo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sampo, Upland, was given in marriage by her father.She chose a gown of chantllly lace with fitted bodice, long sleeves and a sabrlna neckline. The bouffant skirt was a cascade of chantllly lace ruffles that swept toa cathedral length train.Her illusion veil was held in place by a headpiece of pearls on crystal lace petals. She carrieda cascade of white carnations, stcphanotis, and a white orchid.Jennifer Cutahi, Cucamonga, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Adele Vinciguerra, Upland; Rcaie Sheets, Upland; Debbie Kenary, Upland; and Cindy Woodside, Cucamonga.The groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs, Frank A. Thom Sr., Montclair, was aided by his brother Mike Thom, best man. Ushers were Tom Sampo, Upland; Phil Velarde, Montclair; Paul Kenary, Upland; and ring bearer Bryan Reeves, Alta Loma.A champagne buffet reception was held in the parish hall following the ceremony.The bride is a 1969 graduate of Upland High School. She attended Chaffey College for one semester and Is presently employed with Trans-Container Corporation, Upland.Thom graduated from Montclair High School and attended Chaffey College. He spent 13 months in Korea with the armed services. He is presently employed as a tool and die maker forNcwardDie and manufacturing Company, Montclair.
