Dunn of Hammond, and Mn. Herman Dennis Himel III, son of Mr. and Mn. HermanDennis Himel Jr., ofHammond, repeated weddingvows.The setting was the suburban home of Mn. E.E. Talbot Jr., Saturday, June 1, at five o’clock in the afternoon.The Rev. Steve A. Martin ofthe Fint Presbyterian Church performed the ceremony before an improvised altar. An embankment of Louisianamagnolia foliage draped thefireplace hearth, softly illuminated by white tapen in branched candelabra. Amassive arrangement of white stock, pom pons and gypsophilia augmented the setting, while placed at vantage points were artistries interpreted in white gardenias, and English ivy and daisies,with groupings of white candles.Wedding music was provided by Mr. Richard Canterbury, of Kansas, City, Mo., who played music for die wedding of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. C.L. Thomas, S3 years ago. The musician came especially for the occasion. E. E. Talbot IIIlighted the candles for theceremonyGiven in marriage of by her father the bride was gowned in traditional bridal white silkcrepe and Alencon lace. The long belled sleeves were of lace, and the decolletage was softly rounded. The floor length creation wasinterpreted in soft folds ofcrepe.Gown matching lace and pearls formed the crown holding in place her imported veil of Elusion.The bride carried a bouquet of white Bridal roses. For ornament the bridewore a gold locket a gift of thegroom.In keeping with tradition and sentiment, she wore a note of blue, a gift of Cynthia Hebert, a six-pence in her shoe, and a borrowed detail from her mother’s trousseau.Miss Susan Ward Dunn served as her sister’s maid of honor. Miss Cara Sims Darr ofCovington was bridesmaid.In identical attire they woremint green gowns fashioned of linen weave, designed alongsimilar lines to complement the bride’s gown. Matching n bows were worn forgreenneaddraaaress.Each attendant carried a nosegay of white pom pons caught with green velvet ribbon streamers.Mr. Lynn Bowman was best man for the groom, and Mr. Andrew Hupperich wasgroomsman.In the same settingheld wnreception was held where white gardenias and white tapers keynoted the decor. The bride’s table overlaid in embroidered white linen was highlighted with a traditional wedding cake enhanced with wedding symbols, and topped with a nosegay of freshrosebuds.Encircling the confection base were garlands of English ivy and white gardenia florets.For her daughter’s wedding, Mn.
