The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin, Granby.The Rev. L. D. Sowder officiated at the ceremony beforean altar decorated with twobaskets of white gladioli and blue iris and a 15-branch candelabrum.Organist was Mrs. Allen Lauber, who accompanied Mrs. Ken Whitmire, soloist, as she sang “Walk Hand In Hand” and ‘•‘The Wedding Prayer” while the couple knelt.Misses Angela Arndt and CarlaThe bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a formal-length gown of white chiffon over white peau de soie in an empire designwith a chapel-length train, accented with white lace over blue ribbon at the neckline, waist and sleeves, styled and made by her mother. Her veil of silk illusion was attached to a Juliet-styie headpiece accented with white seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and blue cornflowers with white ribbon streamers. Her only jewelry was a small teardrop necklace, a gift from the groom.Miss Deborah Towery was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length empire style gown of royal blue satin with chiffon butterfly sleeves and matching headbow. She carried a single white rose. Miss Julie Johnson and Miss Betty Martin, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore sky blue gowns identical to the maid-of-honor’s. She also ran the lights for NSC’s production of “Indians.”In May, Mrs. Dotson appeared in three one-act plays and was then awarded Best Performance in a Studio Production, (one-actplay) out of 11 different playsthat were performed.groom, was best man. John Brust and Paul McClendon were groomsmen. Ushers were Jerry Brust, cousin of the groom, and Alan Miles, cousin of the bride.Miss Leann Martin, niece of the grooom, was flower girl. Keith Miles, cousin of the brifle, was ringbearers.For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Arndt wore a red and white long sleeves polyester dress with white accessories. Mrs. Martin chose a dress of pink floral polyester with long sleeves and - white accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of carnations.Miss Debbie Piercy presided at the guest book. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship room. Presiding were Miss Sharon Mitchell, Miss Piercy and Mrs.° Jim Hodge. Miss Linda Nelson, cousin of the bride, presided at the gift table.The bride is a 1973 graduate of Neosho High School. The bridegroom is a 1970 graduate of East Newton High School and is employed at La-Z-Boy Midwest. After a short honeymoon, the couple are at home in Granby.
