Sunday, June 3. 195$HATTERIn a garden wedding at the home of her parents, Miss Barbara Susan Holder became the bride of Don Allen Vervalin on Friday evening, June 1, at eight o’clock.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd D, Holder, 4010 Pickett Street and Mr. Vervalin i the son of Mr. and Mrs A. N. Vervalin of Ro. j* City.Mr. 2, D. Barber, minister of the Church of Christ, Springfield, Missouri, grandfather of the bride,performed the ceremony before an improvised altar of wrought iron entwined with piomosa fern backed by natural growth of arbor \itae and a mimosa tree. The bride entered the garden on the arm of her father through a rose-entwined gate lighted by hurricane lamps. Hurricane lamps bordered the aisle and surroundedthe nuptial area. Floor standards filled with white gladioli and commodore fern were placed on either side of the arch. Family pews were marked with white satin bows and clusters of Esther Heed Daisies.GARDEN WEDDINGThe wedding music was presented by Mrs. Z D. Barber, grandmother of the bride who sang “Always,” “Hand in Hand,” and “When Your Hair Has Turned to Silver” accompanied by an aunt of the bride. Mrs. C. P. Crosskno.The wedding marches wereplayed by Emily Robbins.The bride wore a white linen itreet length dress with lace jacket and lace hat and her bridal bouquet was fashioned of gardenias.Miss Sarah Scholl was the maid of honor and she wore a blue linen dress with white decorated bodice.
