MR. NICUS HICKS WEDSMISS BEAM OF CLEVELANDMr. Nicus A. Hicks, son of W. S. Hicks of Rutherford county and Miss Lillian Beam, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Beam, of near Double Shoals were happily married at the home of the bride’s parents on Thursday evening May 20 at 7:30 o’clock. Rev. John W. Suttle, pastor of the bride, officiating. The bride attended ! school in Shelby and is a niece of Mrs. Nancy Grigg, of North Morgan street. She is one of the prettiest and most attractive young la-dies in the county and has a host of friends, while Mr. Hicks belongs to a prominent Rutherford county family and holds a lucrative position with a large manufacturing concern in Fort Wayne, Ind. At present he is engaged in erecting some textile bleachery machineery near Asheville and the happy couple left for Western North Carolina to spend their honeymoon.—Shelby Star.
