They have their own senate and house representatives and city councils, where they present and argue their own bills. During the week of intensive training in citizenship and government, young women will learn that they, too, have a responsibility in preserving the intergrity of our nation, and that America’s future depends mainly upon the intelligence and honesty of our youth in carrying forward principles of our government as founded by our forefathers. The Girls State program is one of the most vital projects sponsored by the Auxiliary, according to Mrs. Presley.DONNA EVANSeld a mi-and the ed with swans.
