t Miss Doris Marlin, Checotah, Becomes Bride of James Ivan Sessions Wednesday^ Miss Doris Marlin, daughter of * Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Marlin, Checotah and Mr. James Ivan Sessions, son of Mr. and * Mrs. EiU Sessions, Eufaula^ were married “Wednesday evening ,in the home of the bride’s parents, before a groiip of close friends and relatives. The Rev. Garland Anderson, pastor of the Checotah Baptist church read the marriage vows at an improvised altar before the fireplace. Three-taper can'delabras were used on the flower-banked altar. Roses decorated the mantel and peonies, lilies, roses and ferns decorated the rooms.Miss Joan Vandiver, pianist, played traditional wedding music and Mi6s Margaret Sanders was vocal soloist.The bride was given in marriage by her father.Attendants of the couple were Mrs. Lynn Siegel, Muskogee, sister of the bride and Roy Fo-shee, Hitchita.The bride wore a white street-length dress, a white organdy hat, and white accessories. Her corsage was of orchids. For something old, she wore a diamond necklace, a family heirloom.Mrs. Siegel wore an, aqua dress ‘ and a corsage of pink roses.Mrs. Sessions, mother of the groom, wore a suit of dusty rose sharkskin and a gardenia corsage. Mrs. Marlin wore an aqua crepe dress, with a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Sessions assisted in serving the wedding cake following the ceremony.Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sessions, Eufaula; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sanders, Mc-Alester; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nicholson and son, Muskogee; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Siegel, Muskogee; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dietz, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Johnnie McIntosh, Bacone College.Following the ceremony the couple left on a brief wedding trip. They will go to Stillwaternext week to enroll for the summer term at Oklahoma A M College.The bride is a graduate of Checotah High School and the school of music at A M, where she received her bachelors degree this spring. She is a voice major.The groom was graduated from Eufaula high school. He attended A M college one year and was graduated from Bacone junior .college this spring.McCutchaqs Mark Golden AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Albert A. Mc-Cutchan, sr., held an open house Saturday afternoon for the members of their family, to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. They were married May 28, 1899, in McAlester, Indian Territory.They have two daughters, two sons, and thirteen grandchildren. Those present during the afternoon were Mrs. Gladys Melton and son Rex, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. McCutchan and children, Robert, Carl, Roy, Albert, III, Judy and Jack, and Mr. and Mrs. John Burton, of Tulsa.Mrs. A. B. Harden, who has spent the past several months in Santa Ana, California, returned home Thursday accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Everitt, who will be her parents’ guest for several weeks.John Mullins, who has spent the past year here as the guest of his grandfather, John Burhus, and who graduated from Eufaula High School this spring, left Friday, accompanied by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. L. tf. Mullins for their home in Los Angeles, Calif.Mrs. S. S. Mayfield and family, of Tulsa, were guests of friends here Sunday.
