Kuyper (standing) who was hostessat announcement party.SECRET MARRAIGE ANNOUNCEDAnnouncement was made last week of the marriage of Miss Louise Glad-atane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Gladstone of Des Moines to Mr. J. B. Van Hemert, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Hemert of this city on May 29, 1931, at Eagleville, Mo. The ceremony was read by the Rev. M. N. Breckenridge in the First Presbyterian church of Eagleville,Mrs. Van Hemert is a graduate of East Des Moines high school, attended Central college and for the past two years has been employed in the office of the superintendent ofpublic instruction at the state house. During her residence in Pella she was employed at the Garden City Feeder office. Mrs. Van Hemert is a very popular young lady, being active in church and social activities.Mr. Van Hemert is a graduate of the local high school and also attended Central college. For the past four years he has been employed by the Munsingwear corp.After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home in the Kuyper apartment in this city.The Chronicle joins their wide circle of friends in extending bestwishes and congratulations.
