The eremony was read by Rev. r. P. Neal at 10 o'clock in the first Baptist Church on Phursday, May 25. A small (roup of relatives and close !riends were present for the jcremony.The altar was decorated in a trofuaion r»f fern, habies-breuth, md hydrangeas. Cathedral erin-IlCvS burned in candelabra.Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Lc-t* Fortenberry played The Ros-iry” and Miss Mary Katherine Iutcherson sang ‘'Because/' She ■vns accompanied by Mrs. For ten-jerry, who next played the pro-•essiona! ‘'Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin. “I Love You Truly” vas played softly as the vows were spoken. Mendelssohn's Wedding March was played for the recessional.The bride, given in marriage by her step-father, J. T. Baldwin, ft'ore an afternoon dress of sunset rose alpaca made on princess lines with self covered buttons down the front and trimmed with a lace yoke. She wore a large-brimmed felt hat of the same color and used navy blue accessories. Herflowers were Joanna Hill roses.The maid of honor, Miss Mildred Slough, sister of the bride, wore a figured chiffon dress with a navy background and a large blue felt hat. She wore a corsage of pink rosebuds.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Baldwin. SheTech where he was later wrestling coach and economics assistant teacher. Mr. VanBebber has been with the Phillips Petroleum Company for the past four years as an engineer. During the time Mr.Van Rubber was in college he received seven intercollegiate and national A.A.tJ, titles. In 1933 he won u world’s champion wrestling title in the Olympics in Los Angeles,Dwight Stubble field of McLean served the groom as best man.ReceptionFollowing the wedding, the wedding guests were entertained at a reception at the home of Mrs. C. fl. Leggitt, sister of the bride, A pink and white motif was usedin the appointments. Pink roses and fern were used in the decoration.s.A large pink and white three-tiered wedding coke ornamented by bride and groom figurines centered the dining table. A coffee service was arranged at each end of the* table and presided over by Misses Argen and Margaret Hut. Mis.*? Mildred Slough presided at the bride’s book.The brick? wore a navy blue crepe ensemble for her going away dress. Following the reception the couple left on a trip to California where they will visit the exposition i* San Francisco and other poiste along the coast. Mr. and In?. She has done graduate j men’s Missionary Societies of thework at W.T.S.C. at Canyon. Mrs. VanBebber taught in the Collingsworth County schools before going to McLean. For the past two years* she has been employed as English assistant, speech and journalism teacher in the McLean High School. She is a member of Sigma Gamma and the National Speech Association.The groom is the son of Mrs. Ha Van Bobber of Perry, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school. He received his B, S. degree from Oklahoma A. and I. He did graduate work ai TexasCozette Zone of the Clarendon district is to be held at the Sftttmor-wool Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 7, beginning promptly at 10 a. m,( according to announcement by the zone leader, Mrs. Floyd W. Thompson.It is urged that each auxiliary have a good representation to wel-como the new* district secretary, Mrs. John Hessey, of Pam pa.The auxiliaries comprising the Cozette Zone are: Aberdeen* Dodson, Dozier, Fresno, Kelley, Ket to«, Quail, Samnorwood, Shamrock and Wellington.
