Perry were married at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Laurens Church of Christ. The Rev. Warren M. Hiie officiated at the double ring candlelight ceremony. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Runneberg of Laurens and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Perry of Havelock.The bride was attired in a tra ditional satin gown with bodice which buttoned down the front and pointed tunic of aleutian lace, stand-up collar and long sleeves which tapered to a point at the wrist. The full skirt ex tended into a short train. She wore an angel-glow fingertip veil. Her bouquet was of white calla lillics and her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom.Mrs. Robert Jolliffe, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a ballerina length gown of purple nylon net with matching hat and .mitts and car ried a bouquet of white gladioli.Wanda Enyart of Laurens and Barbara Tucker of Des Moines were bridesmaids. They wore orchid gowns and hats identical to the matron of honor and also carried bouquets of white gladioii. Kay Perry, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl and Tjeran Jolliffe, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Kay wore a white formal trimmed with net and a white veil. She carried a bouquet of white glad ioli. Tjeran wore a dark coat and white trousers, and carried the rings oh a white satin pillow.Garden FlowersThe altar was decorated in garden flowers and oandies, and there was a white aisle cloth. Janelle Thomas played the nup tial music on the organ and accompanied the soloist, Janet Hucka, who sang '‘Because,” I Love You Truly,” and The Lord’s Prayer” during the cere rnony.The bride’s .mother was attired in a white linen suit with purple accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue dress with white accessories. Both wore corsages of yellow gladioli.Following the ceremony a re ception was held for 187 guests in the church parlors. The dining room was decorated in orchid and purple, and with garden flowers. The bride’s table was set with crystal dishes with bouquets of garden flowers and a four-tier wedding oake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. During the reception Janet Hucka sang Why Do I Love You/* Group 1 of the Christian church was in charge of the reception with Mrs. Dar rell Oleson as dining room hostess. Waitresses were Lois JonMRS. THOMAS FERRYas, Marilyn Bowman, and Mrs. Arlo Nelson. Mrs. W. A. Reynolds, aunt of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. Emma Pieratt, also his aunt, poured.Leave far CaliforniaThe couple left immediately for California on a honeymoon and will make their home at Oceanside until Mr, Perry is discharged from the marine corps.Mrs. Perry graduated from Laurens high school in 1951 and attended A.J.B. in Des Moines. She has been employed at Iowa Guarantee, Inc., in Des Moines. Mr. Perry graduated from Mallard high shool in 1945. He farmed with his brother until he enlisted in the marines In 1950.
