The cake wasdecorated with ivory rosebuds. lavendar violets, mintgreen chains, and small white doves. The top was two doves encircled with spring flowers. The chocolate groom's cake was fashioned in a horseshoe and decorated with doves and ivory rosebuds. Finger sandwiches cut as letters of the alphabet spelled the bride's and groom's names and sandwiches cut as boots, hats, and guitars were served.Serving were Miss Jean Walker of Austin and Mrs. Michael C. Martin of FortWorth, sister-in-law of theChew exchanged marriagevows at 5 o'clock Saturday. June 27, in the garden at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Hardcastle in Cedar Creek. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Henry E. Beseda.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edward J. Martin of El Paso, and Percy O. Chew of Mason is the father of thegroom.The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Edward J. Martin of El Paso.She wore a gown of ivory India guaxe fashioned with a high neckline of lace extending to a skirt of knife pleats. She carried a bouquet of ivory and mint green carnations, lavendar violets and crocus, and ivory rosebuds with streamers of mint green and lavendar. As something old. she wore a gold pendant watch that was given to her grandmother on her 16th birthday.yEMrs. Gaylord C. Vaughan of Wichita Falls, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.bride.following a short trip, the couple is at home in Austin.The bride is a graduate of Coronado High School of El Paso and the groom graduated from Mason High School. She is employed by Insurance Brokerage of Austin and he is employed by the Austin American Statesman.Mrs. Clyde E. Fortenberry ofAustin was bridesmaid. They wore full-length sundresses with chiffon capes. Mrs. Vaughan's dress was mint green and Mrs. Fortenberry’s was lavendar. They carried bouquets of ivory and mint green carnations and lavendar violets with streamers that matched their dresses.Rower girls were Miss Heather Vaughan of Wichita Falls, niece of the bride, and Miss Ginger Hardcastle of Cedar Creek, niece of the groom. They wore white cotton sundresses accented with small mint green and lavendar flowers with white eyelet jackets.
