HILL GLOVERConnie Carlisle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Carlisle, Lemesa, N. M. and Hill Glover, son of Judge and Mrs. H. D. Glover, 1607 S. Eddy St., were wed in a double ring ceremony July 21 at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church.Rev’s. Clark Ford and Tom Strother officiated.White Grecian urns decorated the church with floral arrangements of white gladiolas, and white and pink mums.pew markers were white satin bows with greenery backing. The altar had a candelabra arch with gypsophila fronted with a kneeling bench.The bride presented a longstemmed red rose to her mother on her way to the altar. She also presented one to the groom’s mother when leaving the altar after the services.Mrs. Harvey Tinkler, organist, accompanied Mrs. Floyd Brownlee as she sang the “Wedding Prayer” and the “Lord’s Prayer”.Connie was given in marriageby her father.Her wedding dress was a formal Victorian gown of white organza veiled over peau de soie and adorned with venise lace florets on the bodice and high neckline, the caps and cuffsof the Camelot seeves, encircling the waistline and repeated at the hemline to edge the deep flounce of the softly gathered skirt which flowed into a chapel train.Her veil of silk illusion fell to a chapel length from a crown of embroidered French lace. Her bouquet was of white gla-melias with pink roses and Chinese evergreen leaves, mounted on a white Bible.The traditional something oldwas a wedding band belonging to the bride’s grandmother and her bridal gown was something new.She wore a blue garter which she borrowed from Mrs. Bill Oglesby. In her shoe she carried two 1950 pennies symbolizing the couple’s birthdates.Linda Carlisle, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor, she wore a pink formal length gown of cotton dacron empire waisted, scoop-neck, butterfly sleeves ruffled at the bottom and accented by white lace at neck, bodice and ruffle.A pink garden hat accented by white lace at neck, bodice with white ribbon and a bouquet of matching pink poms fashioned in a cascade completed the ensemble.Bridesmaid Paula Brown dressed the same as the maid of honor only in orchid. Lavada Batson wore the same in blue, and Gail Ramsey was attiredin yellow.Miss Brown is from Artesia, N.M., Miss BatsflU of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Miss Ramsey of Plainview. They carried bouquet cascades of poms withmatching color of each girl’s dress.Renee Brownlow, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl and was attired in pink. She carried a basket of pink pom-poms and pink ribbonstreamers.Darrell Glover, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Eddie Squires, Randy Carlisle, brother of the bride of Lamesa, Woody Phillips and Bill Oglesby and Ted Medanich of Pecos.Mrs. Carlisle, mother of the bride, chose a floor length gown of pink crepe with french lace
