Lt William Ware Palmer, Jr., Ada Belle Bowman Are MarriedBy KATHRYN McCLDRE KHs Ada Belle Bowman and Lieutenant William Ware Palmer, Jr., were’married at a recent evening ceremony held In St Paul's Episcopal Church in Chatttnooga, Teen. Dr. Thorne Sparkman conducted the ceremony, The bride was given Jnlt; marriage by Ralph Klee.The church was decorated with wajte gladioli and green sprays and was lighted by candles. Approximately 300 guests were present, preceding the wedding ceremony Ave Maria and The Lord’s Prayer were played on the organ.Miss Alice Palmer, slater of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and lieutenant Jeffress Gary Palmer, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Us here were Rev. Harry Tisdale of Decatur, Ga., Lester Scott of Washington, D. C., Albert Pennybacker and Wilburn Hailey.The bride wore starched white marquisette designed with a molded bodice, high neckline and plain yoke with a round Bertha edged with embroidery of seed pearls. Her full skirt had a sweeping train and a coronet of seed pearls held her fingertip length veil. At her throat was an antique pearl and gold necklace, an'heirloom which had belonged to the bridegroom's great grandmother and has been worn by brides in the family for four generations. Her white prayer book was hidden by a purple tipped white orchid and sprays of slepha-notls. *The maid of honor was attired In an aqua gown with a lace bodice and full net skirt. Her boquet of yellow rosea matched a crown of similar blossoms from which floated her abort veil.The mother of the bride was costumed in a dress of aheer black with trim of white eyelet embroidery and black accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias.The bridegroom's mother wore egg shell crepe with a matching hat and black accessories. Talisman rosea farmed her corsage.Mr. and Mrs. William Ware Palmer entertained members of the wedding pnrty and a few close , friends at an Informal reception : held in their homes following the * ceremony. In the receiving line ' were the Justweds, Mcsdames ;Ralph Klee, George Campbell, Tis* ] dale, Scott and Lewis Skelton;Misses Peggy Palmer, Mary Palmer , of Opelika, Ala,; Margaret Moss ,*nd Carlin Redd and Clarence T. \Gordon.The bride's traveling costume , was of white crepe with matching j accessories and the orchid from j her boquet worn cn corsage. The 5 couple departed for Old Point Comfort, Va„ where tha bridegroom lt;will await orders. They stopped on j route to visit with the brlde-RTDom’i grandmother, Mrs. Jeffreaa Boswell in Chase City, Va, iThe bride is the daughter of Mr,lt; , and Mra. J. Wilmer Bowman and I ■Ister of Meric Bowman of Modesto. Sho is a graduate of Modes- , to High School, Modcato Junior College and San Jose State College. ,The bridegroom is the son of Mr. . and Mrs. William Wara. Palmer * and Is serving with the naval air . forces. Ha-will be. on duly at an ;Atlantic Coast base as an inatruc- J tor in instrument flying. He recently returned to tho United States following a year's service as . a bomber pilot In the. Pacific the- i star and two years In. tho Carlb- , bean.
