Joe has been in the navy five yeras this coming Sept. 10. He and Sam have a mutual friend on board their ship, Stanley Scott, 1-c gunner’s mate, from Mill Valley.Arriving from Nederland, Texas, were Joe’s bride-to-be. Miss Maggie Sanford, and his parents. Mr. and Mrs. M. McKinley.Miss Sanford’s bridal outfit was a light blue suit with navy accessories. She also had a corsage of two lavendar orchids. Mrs. Charles Thomas. Sr., was her matron of honor and Stanley Scott was best man.Forty-six guests were present at Brock’s Marvel Mar for the weding reception. On the bridal table were two cakes, set one at each end, and centered between them were pale pink carnations, white roses and white asters.Both newly-wed couples left for the Palace hotel in San Francisco, where they are spending a brief honeymoon. In ten days the sailors will have a 25-day leave, and there will be time for wedding trips.
