F. Anthony announce the marriage of their daughter, Minnie Gray, to Mr. Denver Black Cottingham on Sunday. July 26, Greensboro, N. C. At home after the first of August, 2 Magnolia Court, Greensboro.” Mr. Cottingham is a former Maxtonian and is the son of Mrs. M. L. Cottingham and the late A. J. Cottingham. He is a promising vcung business man of High Point and Greensboro, and has many friends here who wish them much happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Cottingham arc on an unannounced wedding tour, but expect to visit relatives here this week-end. C. Bridger, in honor of Miss Harriet Edgerton of Lebanon, Tenn., guest of Mrs. M. «C. Bridger. The rooms where 3. tables were appointed were beau- i tifully decorated with many vases' of mixed flowers. From the sun-porch punch was served when the.guests arrived and throughout the 1 afternoon. After 3 progressions the high score prize went to Mrs.D. II. Bridger. Mrs. Bridger received also the traveling prize, anattractive box of candy, which she presented to Misses Ruth and Grace McRae, guests of Mrs. H.C. Bridger.
