Married.—At Cornell. Illinois, April 301901, Mr. Bf.kt Oakman to Miss Mabel Dresser. iBert is well known in this and MoDonough counties and as a brother of lt;Prof. G. M. Oaktnan, of this city. The ' bride is a niece of Mrs. Leach, of the n New Leach hotel of Colchester.The groom is well known among the I newspaper fraternity and while there | hover were good grounds to accuse hitn of matrimonial intentions his name has j appeared in several papers 86 a benedict, but the* roports wore groundless. This time, however, Bert fooled the press and has been a married man for | three months, not even hi9 relatives here knowing of the changed conditions. It was his intention he states in his letter to have his relatives meet at Colchester and have a surprise and feast in store for them. They will reside at Wichita, Kao. Bert being a successful land agent. The Quill extends best wishes.
