Anna Marie Scheetz«*Weds John ShannonHoneymooning' at Clear Lake are Mr, and Mrs, John Clair Shannon, whose marriage was an event of Sunday. M*iss Anna Marie Scheetz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Scheetz of near Cosgrove, became the bride of Mr. Shannon the son of Mrs. Dorothy Chalmers of Iowa City at St. Patrick’s rectory in Iowa City Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Kihe Rev. Patrick J. O'Reilly officiating.The bride wore a gown of white chiffon and carried red roses. Her, only attendant, Mrd. Dean Shannon, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was attired in pink lace and carried white asters. Mr. Dean Shannon served his brother as best man.The bride is a graduate of Cosgrove schools, and Mr. Shannon, who attended Iowa City schools, is employed by the Kelley Cleaners. The couple has chosen an apartment on East Washington street, Iowa City, for their residence. They will be at home after next week.
