Monday morning, July 29fh, when Miss Jane Elizabeth Ira'on, daugh ter of Mr and Mrs, H R. Eaton, 1251 Eighth street, became the bride of Mr. Robert Lloyd Tillson. son of Mr and Mrs, L. A. Tillson, 215 South Tama street The Rev Father J J Ryan officiated at the wadding mass at 9 o'clock, in the presence of a large assembly of relative? and friends of the couple.While the guests were assembling. Mrs George Howe of Ames played a fifteen minute organ prelude of bridal music, concluding wi»h Lohengrin’s Wedding March which announced the arrival of the bridal party.Advancing to the altar from the back of the church the bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was p:eced^d by her bridesmaid. Miss Josephine Flannery. At the altar they met the bridegroom and his best man. Mr George Howe of Ames, who entered from the sacris’y.Arriving at the altar, the bridal Tarty took •their places in the sanctuary for the wedding mass, kneel Ing on pillows of white satin. Dur ing mass Mirer hymns were sung by Miss Flo Gagnon, whose solos, “Ave Maria.” ‘‘Domino Non Sum Pignus” and Mother of Mount Carmel” were accompanied by Mrs. Howe.Ushers at the church were Mr. Howard Tillson of Dubuque. Iowa twin brother of the bridegroom, and another brother. Mr. Dean Tillson of this city. The acolytes w’are Messrs Robert Gartland, John Ma honey and James Leonard.Adding interest to the bride’s costume was the fact that she had made her own dress, a lovely creation of white satin, for her wedding day. The gown was fashioned with a graceful cowl neckline ?nd It rg full sleeves, plaited into the shoulder, and fitting into a w’ide cuff from the elbow’ to the wrist. The akirt was edged with a wide flounce which hung floor length in front and formed a slight train in the hack. A bridal veil of fine silk net, held in place with a cap shape braid of net and pearls, was worn by the bride, who carried an arm bouquets of Easter lilies and a white pearl rosary, the gift of the bridegroom.The bridesmaid’s frock of pale p;nk taffeta was made floor length w th Inserts of silk net in the skirt and with a short *a,f?eta jacket. She wore a wide brimmed hat of matching pink, accessories of white and carried a bouquet of J ihanna Hill roses.A dress of white crepe, printed with a small blue figure, w’as worn hv the bride’s mother, ■whose cor sage was of Hollywood roses.As the bridal party left the church. Mrs. Howe plaved the Wed ding March from Mendelssohn, and after congratulations were extend ed Mr. and Mrs. Tillson a wedding breakfast was served at the Priscilla Shop, the guests being rela tives of the bridal couple. Covprs for thirty were arranged at an L shaped table, the only guests other than relatives being Father Ryan and Father James Duhigg.A color combination of pink, green and white was expressed in the appointments and three course breakfast menu. A three tiered wedding cake, adorned with a miniature bride and bridegroom under an arch of bells, and decorated with festoons of rosebuds wras used as the centerpiece and at intervals along the table wore howls of Hollywood roses, combined place cards and nut cups being in the shape of wedding hells.Miss Lulu Depue, cousin of the bride, caught the bride's bouquet.Following the breakfast Mr. and Mrs. Tillson left in their car for a wedding trip, the bride ^wearing a traveling dress of white crepe with en attractive green jacket designed with cutw’ork, and white accessories They are dr.ving to Detroit, where they will leave their car and enjoy a boat trip to Buffalo, will visit Niagara Falls and other places of interest in the east, to be at home after August 15th In Ames.The bride, who was graduated from Sacred Heart school in 1931 attended Iowa State college. Ames, where she pledged Alpha Delta Phi sorority. She has been an active member of the Sacred Heart Alumni association, serving at the present time as the group's presi dent, and has taken part in various church and social activities in Boone and Ames.Mr. Tillson, a graduate of Boone high school with the class of 1927. was graduated from Iowa State college in 1931. where he affiliated with Delta Chi fraternity He is employed as chemical engineer in the Agricultural By products Laboratory of Iowa State college, A nies He is also a well known young man of the city, and is serving a? vice-president of the Boone Engineers Club.Non-resident guests at the wedding were Miss Alice G. Eaton. Miss Agnes Eaton. Mr. W. A Ea'on. Mr and Mrs Harry L Tillson and Mr Paul Rash, all of Des Moines; Miss Esther Simpson of Manson. Iowa; Miss Lulu Depue, Mis?
