Merck (Steve) will marry September 11 in Westminister United Methodist Church of Houston with the Rev. Anthony Webser, pastor, as officiant for the ceremony.The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley I. Freeman, Jr., of 2504 Nall Street, Port Neches. Her grandmother is Mrs. Cecil Barrington, of Port Neches. The bride-elect was graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School,attended LamarUniversity and the University of Houston.The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Merck of 1113 Carysbrook Lane, Charlotte, North Carolina. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Smith of Greenville, South Carolina. He was graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in Merced, California and West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Vriglnia. He received a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts. He is a member of Pi Kappa Phi.
