Seevers, also of Lisbon, the evening of July 20 at 7 o’clock at the West Point Church of TheNazarene.IThe Rev. Harold Applegate, pastor, officiated for the doublering ceremony before an altar of palms, ferns and candelabra. Satin bows marked the family pews.Mrs. Edith Bailey was pianist. Russell Howell sang “I Love You Truly” and “Because.” Carl Bailey sang “The Lord’s Prayer.IfIIiFt*i 1f111The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a floor-length gown of nylon sheer over taffeta. The fitted bodice was designed with a scoop neckline, outlined with embroidered lace, and brief sleeves. Her bouffant skirt was highlighted with scalloped lace.A queen’s crown of pearls held her fingertip veil of silk illusion. She carried a white Bible, the gift of her cousin, Mrs. Helen Joy. It was topped with an arrangement of white orchids, ste-phanotis and satin streamers. V '■ ’UiShe wore a single strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom, and elbow-length mitts. She observed tbe traditions, including a sixpence in her shoe.Mrs. Shirley Poynter, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a cocktail dress of coral with a matching headpiece. Her Colonial bouquet featured tinted blue carnations and pink roses.Bridesmaids were Miss Carol Seevers, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Carol Palmer. A three-tier cake, topped with a miniature bridal couple, centered the buffet table.Aides were Mrs. Mildred Williams, Mrs. Annamay Gross, Mrs. W’anda Jean Striebel, Mrs. Frances Poynter, Mrs. Oma DeB e e and Mrs. Ada Burrows.Guests were from Lisbon, Wellsville, Minerva, Columbiana, Chicago and Cincinnati.For her honeymoon, the bride wore a white cotton dress with pink accessories and her bridal orchids.The bride is a 1962 graduate of David Anderson High School at Lisbon and her husband was graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1960. He is employed at Metsch Refractories, Inc., in Chester.Thenewlyweds will receive friends at 1046 Dresden Ave.Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Joy of Bloomfield Ave. entertained for the rehearsal party.
