(By The Gazette's Correspondent) Grouard, July 17.—The quiet of Grouard was disturbed on July 12th when Amy Anderson was united in marriage to Patrick Alfred L’Hirondelle. The roar ing of guns, clanging of bells and cheering reached them as they passed by to Mrs. Peter Ander son’s where dinner was served. Several toasts were proposed and replied to. P. C. Tomkins and Joe L'Hirondelle were principal speakers. They then proceeded to the dance hall of the Savoy Hotel were dancing continued till daylight. The bride looked charming in her cream satin dress trimmed with lace. Everybody wishes the newlyweds the best of every thing. The dance was one of the best held in Grouard for years. Everybody was feeling good and enjoyed every moment. The Red River Jig and many old time dances were had. We hope to see another dance like it soon, Mr. Charles Belrose and family arrived from near Saddle Lake. They are heading for the East Prairie Metis Concession where they plan making their home. Mr. Belrose feels very grateful for the stand the Provincial Government has taken and hopes the Metis will take advantage of the offer which will certainly im prove the standard of living. Joe L’Hirondelle is pulling out for his trading post at Prairie Lake. Yesterday’s rain gave the crops a good soaking which they were in need of.
