The fitted bodice, trimmed with seed pearls, had a sweet heart neckline and traditional sleeves The full skirt, held out from the body by hoops, w;ts fash ioned in five tiers of scalloped Chantilly lace* rufflesHer headdress wlt;ts a cathedral veil atop a crown of matching lace framing theface, the cascade of bridalillusion forming a chapel tram bordered in Chantilly lace.For something old, the bride wore a gold locket belonging to her mother. Something borrowed was pennies minted in the yearsof the couples births and worn in the bride’s shoe, and the something blue was the traditional blue garter.All of the bride’s attendants wore deep si ee ve I ess glt; w ns d es i g n ed with empire waistlines accented with light pink satin ribbon sashes. Each wore elbow-lengt h white gloves, veils of pink net and car ried bouquets of pink carnations trimmed with varie gated pink net, satin and ribbon streamers.For her daughter’s wed ding, Mrs. Trice chose a floor length sleeveless gown of beige lace trimmed at the empire waistline with a brown satin bow. She wore beige and gold accessories. The bridegroom s mother chose a two-piece pink knit suit with white accessories. Both mothers wore pink carnation corsages.After the wedding a reception, dinner and dance were held in the church hall. Serving at the reception table were Miss Teresa Trice of Jal, cousin of the bride, Miss Susan Morgan, and Mrs Linda Case. Registering guests were Mrs. Bill Trice of El Paso, Texas, and Miss Monnett Harper.A buffet dinner of turkey, dressing, creamed potatoes, chili, and tossed salad was prepared and served by Mrs. Raymond Aguilar, Mrs. Tony Aguilar, Mrs. Ismael Aguilar andother members of the groom’s family. He has attended KNMU where he pledged Kappa Sigma Fraternity and holds and associate degree in business from NMJC. John A. Carlberg, minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Lovington, officiatingMrs. Werner was buried in the Eunice Cemetery. She died July 21 in Odessa, Texas. She was 69 years-old.
