Warren Bury Claims Barbara Johnson As Bride In Mentone Church'Now at home in Riverside at 3344 Franklin street are Mr. and Mrs. Warren George Bury (Barbara Ann Johnson) who have returned from a Santa Barbara honeymoon. They were married July 12 in Mentone Community church by Dr. Willis E. Johnson, 1317 Malachite avenue, Mentone, asked her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lawrence Marona (Jeanette Bury), a bride of two months, to be her matron of honor. Ann Brunton and NancyHein were bridesmaids.«Their dresses, identically styled, were of light blue organdy*with pleated skirts and bodices. Blue ribbon sashes matched their slippers and their headbands were rhinestone studded. All wore white gloves and carried nosegays of white carnations. .The bridal dress was of tulle net over taffeta, the short sleeved bodice finished at the scalloped neckline with little satin rosebuds. Her veil, fingertip length, fell from a crown of pearls. Carnations and stephanotis surrounded the orchid centering the brida! bouquet.Attending the bridegroom, son of Sam Bury, 1317 Tourmaline avenue, Mentone, and the late Mrs. Bury were Kenneth Kelley as best man and Rex Hollidy, Ronald McKenzie, Lawrence Marona and Richard Donahue, ushers.. Two single candles burned on the altar while two seven-branch candelabra were placed beside large pedestal baskets of mixed summer flowers as a setting for the nuptials. Mary Bury and Sharon Swan were the eandle-lighters, lighting the tapers before the entrance of the bridal party. ;About 250 guests were invited to the wedding which was followed by a reception in the patio at the Mentone Woman’s club. Mrs. Johnson, mother of the bride, chose a pink silk , poplin dress with white accessories for the occasion. Mrs. Warren Swan; the bridegroom’s aunt, was also in the receiving line, wearing a pink dress with white accessories.The young bride, a graduate of Redlands High school in .1955, is now in her junior year at San Bernardino Valley college sehook of nursing. Her husband, class of 1953 at Redlands High school, is now sales manager for Pratt Brothers sporting goods store in Riverside.
